Coddle.ai is a mobile application designed to support new parents through the early stages of parenthood. The app provides real-time, expert-informed guidance on feeding, sleep, development, and emotional well-being, personalized to each baby’s age and the parent’s specific questions and logged data. The platform was developed in partnership with pediatricians, IBCLCs, and baby care specialists. Its guidance is not intended to replace healthcare providers but to fill the gaps between appointments with calm, reliable support, available at any time of day or night. Coddle.ai is available on both iOS and Android. The app connects parents with an AI assistant that responds to questions, logs baby activity on their behalf, identifies patterns in the data, and checks in on the parent’s own well-being alongside the baby’s.
The client required a mobile application that could serve new parents across two dimensions simultaneously: practical baby tracking and emotionally sensitive support. The key requirements were:
A consistent constraint across all requirements was sensitivity. The app handles health-adjacent data for newborns and postpartum parents. Every interaction needed to feel supportive rather than clinical, and the guidance had to be medically sound without overstepping into diagnosis.
Innvectra built Coddle.ai on React Native, enabling a single codebase to serve both iOS and Android. Firebase Authentication handles user accounts and Firebase Realtime Database manages all baby logs, user profiles, and session data. Development was carried out using Cursor IDE with AI-assisted coding throughout, which allowed the team to move significantly faster than a conventional development approach and deliver the full feature set within the client’s timeline.
The core of the application is an AI assistant powered by OpenAI GPT-4. The assistant responds to parenting questions with expert-informed, age-appropriate guidance based on the baby’s profile and logged history. Parents can ask anything from feeding concerns to sleep regression questions and receive contextual answers without judgment.
Rather than requiring parents to navigate forms while managing a newborn, Innvectra built a conversational logging flow. Parents describe what happened in natural language and the assistant extracts and records the relevant data. This reduces the friction of tracking to a brief exchange.
Logged data is processed to surface summaries and trend observations. Parents can review feeding frequency, sleep duration patterns, and milestone progress in clear summaries. The system identifies anomalies and surfaces them with context, so parents know whether to monitor, adjust, or consult their provider.
Coddle.ai includes a well-being layer for the parent. Daily check-ins ask how the parent is doing and surface relevant resources for postpartum anxiety, sleep deprivation, and the adjustment to new parenthood. These appear contextually rather than as a separate section the parent must seek out.
Logged data and AI-generated summaries are formatted to be shareable with healthcare providers, making pediatric appointments more productive and giving providers useful data rather than recalled estimates.
